“The End”

“The End”… the author typed these six letters to denote the closure of the last chapter of his new novel. Familiar, isn’t it? How often do you hear these six letters? How much do you or do others use them? We use them to express “The End” of a movie, a story, a project, a plight, a problem, a program, a road, a relation, a day, a picnic, a dream… then we re-use them in other similar situations to start new ones, and terminate them by these six letters, forming the known expression “The End”. Why do we use this word to express such a meaning? “The End” is a recurring event giving birth to other new event called starts, even the end of a life is a start of a new one. “The End” is the start. “The End”… a misused word in a mis-lived world! Do you have suggestions for a replacement?

Now I can understand what you mean.

I think “The End” is a proper expression. It denotes ending something as you said. Even if this means another thing will start, the former is actually ending. Isn’t it appropriate to announce the former is ending? Should we look only at the start and forget about the end? The start wouldn’t be without the end. And the start will end into an end.

Maybe if you are replacing something with another you can omit the end and go straight with the start. But actually no start comes with all what have been ended. There are always these tiny things that just end, and never start again.

I am sure that you can understand how I feel as you understood what I mean.

An ending phase is not bad, keeping in mind that a new start could have never existed without this end. “The End” is the parent of the start. An end can never fade unless beginning the start, this is a life rule that we can’t ignore. “The End” is mandatory as nothing lasts forever. “The End” can never be forgotten, but it should be announced at the appropriate time, which is the birth of the start. Sooner or later, a start will grow older to be… a new end. The point is that we learn when “The End” should be to give space for the start.

There are no replacements in life, it is all about compromises. Tiny things will be kept in the “Memory” as major “Intersection”s can never be forgotten… Please forgive me.

Trapped!

I feel trapped and lonely. Lonely inside myself, like it’s never ending. I know that nothing is forever lasting, this gives hope to my mind...
